In the first Nordic literary salon online after summer break, we will have a look at Norway. The host will be translator from Norwegian, Ivana Voráčková, with whom we’ll discus the book I’m not really like this by author Marie Aubert. The book is about a family gathering at a celebration and about how our perceptions of other people – and of ourselves – can differ from their true personalities. Moderated by Hana Švolbová.
You can watch the live stream on Thursday 24th September 2026 from 20:00 on the Scandinavian House Facebook page. The recording will later be made available on our YouTube channel.
In Czech
The partner of Nordic literary salon online is Czech Translators of the North – an association that brings together translators of fiction from Northern languages to Czech. The event is part of the Scandinavian House’s year-long project Nordic Literature in the Heart of Europe 2026, which is held with financial support by the Prague City Hall and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
