The 17th year of the festival of Nordic culture will focus on the topic of transformation.
The festival Nordic Days 2026 will commence on 6th October in both Prague and Brno and will last until 26th October. Transformation and change affect all of us, whether it is in our personal lives or in the world around us. We stand before many challenges – (non)parenthood, burnout, aging – which have only recently began to be spoken about openly. Our planet and the places that surround us change together with us.
The festival programme will kick off with the screening of a Lithuanian film Renovation (2025). We will welcome the Finnish-Swedish writer Maria Turtschaninoff, author of the popular novel Tangled Roots, and the Norwegian writer Linn Strømsborg, the author of Never, Ever, Ever who recently came out with a new novel, Damn, Damn, Damn. In addition to two more film screenings – the document The Swedish Theory of Love (2015) and the Danish sci-fi Eternal (2023) – you can also look forward to two travel lectures, Nordic roadtrip and Antarctica.
