IMDB

After many years spent abroad, Junior (Gísli Örn Garðarson) returns to his home country – Iceland, followed by his mysterious “friend” Rupert (Daniel Brühl). They are not really coming in order to travel around the island – it’s more their financial issues that direct their steps. These issues should be solved by Junior’s wealthy father Senior. But instead of a luxurious villa, this former millionaire dwells in a trailer in a caravan village in the middle of nowhere, where a lot of extraordinary people live: a peevish taxi driver (Ingvar E. Sigurðsson) who constantly gets tickets for speeding, a former Miss Iceland or Junior’s grandmother with her really easy-going pet – a stuffed seal. So that there’s definitely no shortage of bizarre situations, indeed.

The screening will be introduced by a short lecture about Daniel Brühl.

In Icelandic with Czech subtitles.
