How far would you go for love?
One day, Saara (Outi Mäenpää), a happily married doctor, finds out the bitter truth – her husband Leo (Martti Suosalo) doesn’t love only her. Saara decides to find her rival, one of Leo’s students Tuuli (Ria Kataja), and under the pretense of friendship she’s plotting a revenge for her ruined marriage. But the lines of this love triangle are not as straight as it might seem. Many unexpected twists occur in the plot and even Saara’s relationship with her opponent is not so black and white.
The soundtrack for Black Ice was recorded by the well-known band Apocalyptica. The film was nominated for the Best Director award at the Berlin International Film Festival and won many awards, including six Finnish Jussi Awards – for example for Best Film, Best Leading Actress or Best Script.
