IMDB page about the film

Two men, who both have tried to commit a suicide, decide to found a “Let’s do it together”-suicide association to help the self-destructive people to succeed in their goal. Soon they have a bus load of candidates and together they start a bus tour in order to find a suitable place for the mass suicide. The trip takes them from Finland via Norway to the Central Europe. And finally on the verge – is life worth dying for? (IMDB)

An unforgettable movie by the director Ere Kokkonen based on an equally unforgettable book of the same name written by the Finnish humorist Arto Paasilinna (The Year of the Hare, The Howling Miller). Almost twenty characters with unbelievable life stories decide to end it all and commit a mass suicide. But throughout their journey across Europe they gradually start to realize they might not be all that keen on dying after all and that life is possibly less tragic than it first seemed.

Before the movie, a short introduction on Arto Paasilinna and his novels shall be given by  Czech translator Vladimír Piskoř.
