The Scandinavian House invites you to meet Harri Ahonen, a Finnish adventurer and photographer, who will present the hiking culture in Northern Scandinavia.
Thousands of kilometres through the northern wilderness, old forests, steep hillsides, large swamps and beautiful mountains… You will not only see pictures of stunning nature, which make you long for a few more free days to head northwards, but you will also hear a lot about marked routes, river crossing, the unique system of huts in Finland, Norway and Sweden, as well as other practical information on hiking in Scandinavia, this time from a guest who comes from Northern Europe himself.
Harri Ahonen has also written three books on this topic. The first two ones, focused on hiking routes, both in Northern and Middle Scandinavia, have already been published in Finland and are about to come out in Germany next spring. The third book will be published in Finland in April 2017 and deals with the coastal routes in Northern Norway.
The lecture will be given in English.
