Sixteen-year-old Arnaldur comes from a very well-off family, he has a great girlfriend and a bunch of friends. Nevertheless, there is a tragedy in the family right before Christmas: Arnaldur’s older brother Gulli commits suicide. Why did he kill himself? And why is everyone so idle? Arnaldur decides to take things into his own hands and to revenge for the death of his beloved brother. Meanwhile, the concealed aspects of Arnaldur’s personality are coming out and they are none the worse than December darkness ruling over the island.
Before the screening, there will be a short lecture about Mikael Torfason whose novel Falskur fugl served as the basis for this movie.
