What Norwegian drama does or does not occur on Czech stages? What is the situation with the translation and performing Norwegian classics or the latest dramatic texts? And what do the audiences think?
The Scandinavian House and the Authors’ Reading Month festival, which this year will focus on Norway, present a discussion on the topic of Norwegian drama on Czech stages, from Henrik Ibsen to Jon Fosse and Frederik Brattberg, from Jan Nebeský to Štěpán Pácl and Viktorie Čermáková. Karolína Stehlíková, a translator and theatrologist, and Tereza Marečková, a dramaturge, will participate in the discussion.
Hosted by Barbara Gregorová.
Admission free
The event is organised by The Scandinavian House in cooperation with the Authors’ Reading Month festival and the publishing house Větrné mlýny, and financially supported by the Brno Municipality, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Norwegian Embassy in Prague.
