The 15th edition of the festival of Scandinavian culture will centre around the theme of periphery.
The Nordic Days festival is scheduled to commence on October 16th in Prague and on November 1st in Brno. This year’s theme is periphery, both in the literal and figurative sense. We will take a look at the Nordic countryside, the faraway scarcely populated areas, the people at the edge of society and minority nationalities and subcultures. As is customary, the festival will host several Nordic writers, such as Örvar Smárason from Iceland, Lina Nordquist from Sweden and Katja Kallio from Finland. The festival’s programme will also encompass film screenings, literary events and travel lectures.
