The road in its various meanings is the theme of this year’s Nordic Days – annual festival of Nordic culture.
The main guest of the festival in Brno will be the Icelandic author Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir (awarded 2018 Nordic Council Literature Prize). Three of her books have been translated into Czech so far: Butterflies in November, Hotel Silence and The Greenhouse.
You can look forward to the traditional Nordic literary salon and the debate with Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir – many tips for good Icelandic books included! Another debate within the programme will be the Tracks of Scandinavian and Czech diplomacy.
We will also screen a famous Danish road movie Hush little baby (Se min kjole) depicting four drug addict girls travelling across Denmark in a search for a new, better future.
The festival will be concluded by a guided tour with the special focus on the Nordic “tracks” in Brno.
The festival will also take place in Prague.
