The Scandinavian House in cooperation with Klub cestovatelů and CK Periscope invites you to Travel Evening, which will take place on the 16th January 2016 in Klub cestovatelů.
For those who love mountains, wilderness of the North, cold wintertime as well as those who just like to listen to adventurous and inspiring stories while sipping hot tea the Scandinavian House has arranged evening with three interesting lectures accompanied by wonderful photos.
First Helena Křenková will take you to Sweden and present Sarek national park, the oldest national park in Europe and a gem of European wildlife. The second guest will be Miroslav Jakeš, an experienced polar explorer and the only Czech guide to polar regions. He will talk about the history of conquering the North Pole and his own expeditions. You can see some equipment which he uses on polar expeditions. Miroslav Jakeš will also play his guitar which he takes to the North. Third Michaela Středová will talk about a journey across Jotunheimen, a Norwegian mountain range with impresive landscape, where you can find the highest peaks of Scandinavia.
