Norwegian Literature Weeks

The spring of this year will revolve around Norwegian literature. Prague will host the Norwegian humorist Roger Pihl (Mannen som ikke ville hjem; The Man that Didnt Want To Go Back Home) and comic book writer Marta Breen (Kvinner i kamp; Women in Battle). Two film adaptations (Tatt av kvinnen, Kompani Orheim; Gone with the Woman, The Orheim Company) will be screened in the Evald Cinema. And with your vast knowledge of Norwegian culture, you can be the star of the pub quiz. There will also be a workshop for Czech publishers and last but not least, an afternoon in the municipal library full of games and quizzes for the little ones.

Beside Roger Pihl, who will be the guest of Norwegian literary salon, also Thomas Hylland Erikssen, the famous Norwegian anthropologist, will visit Brno. There will be the pub quiz as well and to experience Norwegian culture through multiple senses, come and join us for Eat&Read Norwegian, where literature is complemented by gastronomy in a unique experience. At the events both in Prague and Brno, there will be a free brochure on Contemporary Norwegian Literature with the aim to entertain and educate its readers.
