Nordic literature at the Book World Prague 2017

As a guest of honour at the last year’s Book World fair, the Nordic countries and their literature were represented by the #ReadNordic campaign which proved to be a major success.

Albeit having a lower profile this year, the Nordic literature will be featured by a small Nordic stand (S117) in the Central Hall of the Palace of Industry, co-managed by the Nordic embassies and the Scandinavian House, with newest translations from Scandinavian languages on display and a selection of books on sale. An assortment of booklets and leaflets about the North will also be available.

In addition, six Nordic authors are coming to the Book World this year: Tuomas Kyrö, Riikka Pelo, Frida Nilsson, Alen Mešković, Selma Lønning Aarø and Marit Reiersgård.

Come and join us for a traditional Nordic Literature Evening, organised by the Scandinavian House and featuring all of the authors. The event starts at 7 PM on Friday, 12 May, in the Lapidarium of the National Museum (located at Holešovice Exhibition Grounds).
