The Christmas edition of our Nordic literary salon will be focused on folk-talas and fairy tales from a very special place: the Faroe Islands! For the first time, an anthology of tales from the Faroe Islands has been published in Czech. Its name is Alf of the Golden Stone and the guest of the event is one of the translators, Lucie Korecká.
The event will be streamed on Thursday, December 16, on our Facebook page. The recording will afterwards be available on our YouTube channel.
Free admission, no registration needed.
The partner of the event are the Czech translators of the North – an organisation uniting Czech translators from Nordic languages. The event is a part of a year-long project of the Scandinavian House: “Nordic literature in the heart of Europe 2021”, which has been supported by Prague municipality and the Czech Ministry of Culture.
