Love and aliens in a Danish way
Carl is an elementary school student whose mother recently died in a car accident. Carl’s new teacher, Ulla Harms, is trying to prepare her class for a competition to win a trip to Paris. Her methods, however, prove to be rather questionable… Ms. Harms is cynical and cold-hearted and at the center of a strange episode of events, leading her class to believe she cannot possibly be from this planet. As a matter of course, the parents are convinced that the stories they hear from their children are just a manifestation of wild fantasies. Will the truth be revealed?
The film combines a variety of different genres, but at its core it is best described as a whimsical sci-fi “B-movie” about aliens. Although intended for a younger audience, the film will be appreciated by many a grown-up for its cast of well-known Danish actors like Paprika Steen or Ulrich Thomsen.
