IMDB

Classical Danish drama about questions that are one scared to ask himself.

When Mikael decides to sign up in a medical test for new antidepressives, everything seems to be just a little challenge for a bored settled down man in his middle age, who took a break at work and wants to focus on his own growth. The test of the medicaments is shortly cancelled for distint side effects. However, Mikael doesn’t want to give up on his newly achieved sense for calmness and self-control, which he gained from the pills, and decides to keep on going with the test on his own. In the house that seemed to be a safe nest of a harmonic family there is happening a slow, not-returnable and often breath-taking change of the main character. The film answers the border between our own behaviour and personality and behaviour influenced by other circumstances, in this case the pills.

The main role plays Ulrich Thomsen, who is known for playing in The Blacklist and Banshee series, the new film The Commune or Thomas Vinterberg’s Celebration. By his side plays Paprika Steen, a famous Danish actor, who has become a part of the Dogma 95 group and appeared in films  of Lars von Trier Idiots, Thomas Vinterberg’s Celebration, also with Ulrich Thomsen and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen’s  Mifune’s Last Song.

The screening will be introduced by a short speech about the main actor Ulrich Thomsen.
