In September, Scandinavian House in cooperation with the Evald Cinema presents a mini festival of Nordic Cult Films, that is pictures that most northerners know and love, but which are new to many Czech viewers.
You will be able to enjoy the crazy Finnish classic Numbskull Emptybrook In The Army (Uuno Turhapuro armeijan leivissä), which is the ninth film from the series about an antihero called Numbskull and his crazy antics. Norway will be represented by dark comedy The Black Lapp (Svidd neger), set in the north of the country. Among the main characters are a pair of alcoholics, a nomadic Lapp and a black baby of unknown origin. Swedish gangster comedy Slim Susie is set in a small town in Värmland (Smala Sussie), where one of the main characters is played by Tuva Novotny, a popular Swedish actress of Czech origin. The festival will be concluded with a Danish road movie Hush Little Baby (Se min kjole), about four girlfriends driving across Denmark on a journey of self-discovery and friendship.
