Do you want to know what kind of cookies are baked on Christmas in the North? Whether Nordic people decorate the Christmas tree? Which traditional foods are eaten at Christmas dinner? What are the so called Christmas comics? Which traditions, customs and superstitions are connected to the period of the end of the year? At the lecture you’ll find out many interesting facts about both the traditional and the modern Christmas in the North. The lecture will be accompanied by thematic pictures and by Nordic Christmas music.
Entry fee is 80/50 CZK. The lecture will take place from 6pm in the conference hall in the library. The tickets will be available for purchase at the counter in the 1st floor of the library or online at HKpoint.cz.
The event is organised by Scandinavian house in collaboration with The Research Library in Hradec Králové.
