Meeting with the Icelandic author Jón Kalman Stefánsson

Enjoy the last May evening with Nordic literature! The Scandinavian House and the publishing house dybbuk cordially invite you to a discussion with the famous Icelandic writer Jón Kalman Stefánsson, author of several collections of poetry and many novels, in Czech he has published the books Summer Light and Then Comes the Night, Heaven and Hell and its loose sequel The Sorrow of Angels, the third book of the trilogy is due to be released in fall.

The discussion will be held on 31. 5. 2016 from 8 PM in café Potrvá (Srbská 2, Praha 6) and will be interpreted into Czech.

Jón Kalman Stefánsson (born 1963) was shortlisted four times for the Nordic Council Literature Prize and he is undoubtedly one of the internationally best known Icelandic writers. He is the author of three collections of poetry and ten novels. For the novel Summer Light and Then Comes the Night he received the Icelandic Literary Prize in 2005 (Íslenski bókmenntaverðlaunin).
