Katariina Lillqvist is a Finnish director and scriptwriter living and working in the Czech Republic. Our local tradition of animation charmed her to the point where she decided to study and live here. She has been making her unconventional puppet films that exceed the limits of genre and ignite exciting discussions since the beginning of the 90s. Both her individual films and her entire body of work have been acclaimed many times in Finland and at international festivals. One of the most significant ones was The Silver Bear award for Best Short Film at Berlinale 1996. Aside from puppet film Katariina also works in television, radio, and documentary.

The event is organized with the financial support of statutory town Brno.
