Hans Christian Andersen Week

The Scandinavian House, Municipal Library of Prague, Czech Centre Prague, Bio Ponrepo, Grada Publishing House and Danish Embassy in Prague will at the end of September 2015 commemorate the double anniversary of the world famous Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875).

H. C. Andersen Week, September 21-27, 2015, includes a lecture about Andersen’s relationship with Bohemia by Helena Březinová, a presentation of a graphic novel inspired by Andersen’s fairytales and two film screenings in Bio Ponrepo: on Friday from 20:00 unique Hollywood musical Hans Christian Andersen from 1952 and on Sunday afternoon fairytale programme for children, taking place together with workshop and quiz within the regular Ponrepo for Children programme.
