The Brno branch of the Scandinavian House in cooperation with the Moravian Library starts already the 3rd season of the Nordic Literary Salon. This year’s first meeting will focus on Denmark. You will not only find out about the main trends and topics of the contemporary Danish literary works but also hear excerpts from various books in Czech translation. Together with our guest, translator Markéta Kliková, we will talk about writers, translating, cultural politics and interesting topics from Danish everyday life. On the top of that, we will give you tips for novels, crime fiction as well as poetry. Last not but least, we will find out what stands behind the phenomenon of hygge.
The Literary Salon takes place on Thursday 15th February in Conference meeting room (Konferenční sál), Moravian Library in Brno. Start: 6 PM.
