The Department of Ethnology (Charles University) invites you to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the single most important book about ethnicity Ethnic Groups and Boundaries, F. Barth (ed.), 1969, and the presentation of a publication Ethnic Groups and Boundaries Today: A Legacy of 50 Years, Thomas Hylland Eriksen – Marek Jakoubek (eds.), Routledge 2019.

Ethnic Groups and Boundaries Today: A Legacy of 50 Years will be launched by His Excellence Robert Kvile, theAmbassador of the Kingdom of Norway in the Czech Republic.

Other speakers will include Dr. Petra Lupták Burzová (Department of Ethnology) and Prof. Miroslav Hroch.
