Magnus is a studio photographer who specialises in family portraits. For his mother's 75 birthday, he decide to make a photo collage. While looking for pictures at his brother's house, he comes across a picture of a woman who reminds him very much of their mother but who is only a few years older than his brother. His brother won't tell him who she is and Magnus begins his search. Magnus finds the woman in the picture who turns out to bi his half-sister, Without telling anyone, he decides to take her to his mother's 75th birthday party and to take a portrait of the whole family. His plan is not altogether a succes.
