Baltfest2009 - Festival of Baltic Literature and Film

The Scandinavian House in the cooperation with the Municipal Library of Prague and other partners presents 1st one-day festival of Baltic literature and film - Baltfest2009.

You will meet Liana Langa (Latvia), Arvo Valton (Estonia) and Kęstutis Navakas (Lithuania).

Date: Friday 23rd October 2009
Venue: Municipal Library of Prague, Small hall, Mariánské náměstí 1, Prague 1.

There will be an exhibition of photographs of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia in the foyer of the Central Municipal Library from 16th October to 7th November.

Program: ...

Morning (10am-1pm): short lectures on the Baltic culture and history, photographs show, Estonian folk dances and a set of three short Lithuanian films (Lengvai ir saldžiai, Dėl tavęs, Meistras).

Afternoon (2-6pm): discussion, author and scenic reading and short films screening: Baltoji iliuzija (Lithuania, dir. Ramunas Greičius), Tramvajs vārdā kalpotājs (Latvia, dir. Gunārs Bandēns) and Elu ilma Gabriella Ferrita (Estonia, dir. Priit Pärn). The official part of the festival will end with a discussion of all the guests.

Entrance: 60 CZK (40 CZK for both the members of the Scandinavian House and the Municipal Library).
